[snip]But last month, the senator acknowledged his own struggle to comprehend the enormity of the terrorist attacks. Mr. Kerry was attending a Democratic leadership meeting in the Capitol office of Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle of South Dakota when two jetliners slammed into the World Trade Center in New York.
"We watched the second plane come into the building," Mr. Kerry said on "Larry King Live."
"And we shortly thereafter sat down at the table and then we just realized nobody could think, and then boom, right behind us, we saw the cloud of explosion at the Pentagon.
"And then word came from the White House they were evacuating, and we were to evacuate," he added. "And so we immediately began the evacuation."
By that time, Mr. Bush had been responding to the attacks for more than 20 minutes and had addressed the nation. Using the Florida school as a makeshift command post, Mr. Bush had telephoned Vice President Dick Cheney, FBI Director Robert S. Mueller III and New York Gov. George E. Pataki.

Send this to Bill Maher!
This story was broken on FR last week. Howlin found the Kerry quote from Larry King Live.
Force Bill Maher to eat the newspaper its printed in!
When has he?
Neither the first, nor the last time FR helps break news to bring down the Kerry campaign. We have some excellent researchers here on FR that put the lamestream media to shame.
Hells bells, that dizzy bitch can't think straight NOW!
What I can't understand is the left will berate Bush for not jumping to some unspecified action the moment he was told of the plane hitting the World Trade Center, yet they criticize the "rush to war" in Iraq that took more than a year to get authorization from Congress, a resolution from the UN, and the building of a coalition force.
That's why I love this place, and Freepers are the greatest group of folks in the whole world.
Had Kerry been President, he would have wet his pants, and told the class of kids that we're all going to die...
"Kerry 'couldn't think' on 9/11 "
And nothing has changed.

Jacquestrap Cherie
LOL again! Kerry's magic hat.
