Thanks for the well wishes. Our house was built after Andrew (1992), so it complies with the interim hurricand building code. Sometime after 1994 the state adopted an even more stringent code. We semi-comply with that because we added hurricane shutters upstaris and removable storm panels downstairs.
Our local emergency management guru says that the single biggest danger to life comes from the yeah-hoos who go out too early after the storm, find themselves in high water, and drown. Not a chance with me!
