I don't see this thing "bouncing" north along the coast for long. If the steering currents aloft were weak--and it were drifting, in effect, at less than 10 mph--then maybe, but a storm that's moving at 20 mph east of north is getting a pretty good shove in that direction.

Charlotte County now under the gun, as well as possibly Sarasota County.

Storm is now PARALLELLING the coast, which brings the worst of the storm UP THE COAST itself.
