A friend of my son and his family are down there, but I don't know exactly where. All I know is that they are on island. gulp...
She probably can't - not only do cell sites get slammed during emergencies by regular customers, but local officials and police/fire get priority access. The cell site will bump a call off if there are no free cells available and someone with a higher status needs to get through. I wouldn't worry.
My sister is riding this thing out in Bradenton. I must say that I am not to pleased with her decision.
