Those are all those canal developments. The eye is now heading straight for them. They're toast, and I hope no one is still there.

That is just freaky scary. I don't know why it took this long for the storm to get such coverage. It was fairly apparent 2 or 3 days ago that this was going to be a very big event. That area of the Gulf is RIPE for explosive development of storms, most of the water is in the upper 80's.

I absolutely agree. I've been on Sanibel and Captiva and further up north I've been at Ft DeSoto and Caladesi Island.
This will be an absolute bi**h to clean up, not to mention the property damage.

The one from Fort Myers beach is up...kind of. The site is up, but they turned the cam off since all I see is a blue screen.
