oopps!....The house is still in it's "sixth house from the A-1-A position", where I hope it stays for a while longer !!
Aw, crap. I guess that answers my question.
Find the remote...NOW! ;^D
I swear, it seems that hurricanes and tornadoes know where the shelters are and seek them out.
LOL! I've been a weather nut since childhood, and I would get all excited talking to my mom, and she said, "notify me when the hurricane is about to hit the house." Even though this is major news, my discussion tonight probably going to be dominated by the McGreevey announcement.
Extra prayers going out right now. A shelter UGH! Lord, please look after our Florida neighbors.
Nope just that many of them and this storm is huge!
I have no idea how these guys sound anymore because I have had them muted for so long :')
some EOC has collapsed, on fire
And mobile home parks are tornado magnets.
Wow !!..Long time no hear from !! Glad the tornado thing stayed down in Oak Hill.
You will have freep-mail from me shortly !!
I've been following the thread, and the scope of destruction from this hurricane is simply staggering.
My prayers are with each and every person, here on FR or not, who are having to deal with this. Godspeed to you all.
Frightening! But they may be OK. My friend in Miami had her roof blown off during Andrew. It made a huge mess of the house but the people inside were fine. She's a doctor so she immediately left her home and reported for duty at the hospital, leaving others to deal with the mess. Just a few possession got blown away, everything was soaked.
HEHE. She must live in Florida too. We get used to these. :)
Yup, this guy is always the last one to leave to go home, sometimes just as it is getting dark. I take care of all the animals. We have two abandoned female cats that are in my garage away from the storm. I have my garage door open about 10 inches which is just right for them to enter and exit.
And what exactly was he supposed to do when a million people live on barrier islands in Pinellas County with only about 4 bridges to the peninsula, and then only 3 bridges to Tampa (the mainland).
All the models predicted a direct hit on Tampa, even as late as late this morning.
He may be a good Governor, but he's not God!

We get torandos in the spring and summer...but usually a 0-1 on the F scale...no biggie. However- about 5 years ago we had a night of F3-4's come through here- right over my house at the time...Seminole County
Guy on the beach now...
That's what I'm hoping. The interior ceiling may have remained intact too. Praying for them.
