With all due respect, I realise that as we are not there we cannon make a competent assessment of the situation. But from past episodes, not just with this particular criminal element but with others of his ilk, one can draw a reasonable conclusion as to the aftereffects of giving quarter to those that deserve NONE.
It's the politicians we're discussing, not the military. You know, the folks who think it's a brilliant idea to give amnesty to illegals so they can collect more welfare ? And employers can have their payrolls subsidized by taxpayers ?
I am getting tired of this cycle as well. You don't call a ceasefire with a nest of rattlesnakes, you wipe them out, even if they are under the church steps.
We also have confidence in our Military. We have had over 30 years to smolder on the way our military was Jobbed by the politicians in Vietnam and we do not want the Politicians to do it again.
It is time to let the Marines do the Job that they are capable of doing and then get the hell out of Iraq.
