Though Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry says he opposes legalizing same-sex marriage, critics are pointing to the candidate's radical statements and writings in favor of homosexual marriage and claim this is one more divisive issue on which Kerry is attempting to play to both sides in an election year. ... In a 1996 column for the homosexual publication the Advocate, Kerry slammed the act, known as DOMA, calling it "as unconstitutional and unnecessary as it is mean-spirited and malicious."... Kerry even tied in his Vietnam service, lamenting "when the Senate debated the outrageous ban on gays in the military."

He will be toast at the debates.
Just make him answer yes or no for each of the following
1. Gay Marriage
2. The Iraq War
3. Do you own a 3 SVUs?
4. The wall in Israel
5. Abortion
Each answer, whether it is yes or no, will lose him 1 or 2 percent of the vote.
Also nail him on...
Will you sign Form-180 to release all your military records?
Have you only attended 25% of all Senate Intelligence hearings?

More on Kerry's "I wanna be all things to all people" campaign platform.
Kerry's "nuance" is going to cost him a lot of votes.

FYI - you can read Ol' Flip-Flop's article here: http://www.advocate.com/html/stories/914/914_kerry.asp.
You might want to post that entire article here on Free Republic.
It could be sent to electronic hell by Komrade Kerry's computer dorks.
Thanks for posting the link, EdReform!
I was the one who tried to post the entire article and it was rejected when I hit the post button. The reason given was because it was from "The Advocate".
I think someone who has a website should save the article in case it is removed because it clearly shows how much more liberal Kerry is on the gay agenda than Clinton was. A clear Kerry flip-flop since he is now trying to position himself as a moderate.
