What has been written about this in Korea?
It's.... all.... so.... pointless....
It created a political firestorm, which damaged the ruling party. The left-leaning party favored China over America as S. Korea's major ally. Their reflexive opposition to America was rewarded with the Chinese backstabbing, so to speak. Their anti-Americanism is really blinding their perspective.
