I agree that the media is out of control. But, it is we that have given them so much power. It is we that can take it away. As with any venture in a free market economy, selection, value, and integrity all play a role. The leftwing media is dying as we speak. The election in November will determine whether their demise will come now or in another 4 years. But, do let's be clear. These jokers like 'Bertram Scudder' Matthews, are basing their future on this one election because they know that it is all they have left. If they are able to give Kerry the 15 point spread that it is predicted a sympathetic media can provide, and he wins, then they survive for a bit longer. But, make no mistake... if they cannot give him the win, and Bush remains for another four, these guys and gals are gone right down to the 'Rather.' Media corporations won't dare hold onto the liability with a popular mandate for a change in character. Liberalism is dying as it should in this current malevolent skin it has donned. So, the best way to stick little pins into the proverbial voodoo doll of Matthews, Begala and the rest is to get out and work for Bush/Cheney's re-election.
Its not just about Kerry and the War on Terror. this war is against an American press that urinates on your sensibilities daily. Punch them in the face, by introducing them to their uselessness and utter insignificance.
And if you think this is as bad as it has ever been, go out this weeken and rent, John Doe, His Girl Friday, or The Fountainhead for a little black and white reminder.
