IMHO, we're all running in hundreds of directions, trying to put out hundreds of brush fires. FR needs direction. FR is big enough now that we can make some lasting impressions.
I'd love to see some headlines formatted on FR - Talking Points laid out clearly on all the topics we cover here. Permanent threads that are easily found by everyone. Such as, Swift Boat FACTS, Social Security FACTS, Lists of lies from pols, Ntl Debt Facts, etc.
So many FReepers are such great researchers, but unless you happen across their information in a thread, the information is lost and you miss it.
You hit it on the head. We run around putting out brush fires while the enemy is pouring gasoline on the next field.
That reminds me of the book "The Vast Rightwing Conspiracy Handbook," by David Smith, I believe. My 16 YO daughter got it for Christmas from one of her friends, and I loved it and got my own copy. It has talking points and factoids to shut the liberals up, all in one convenient little book. It's a bit on the thin side, but it's a start!
That's a truly good idea.
A database of organized info, documented, with a logical, easy way to naivigate it.
I can't tell you how many times I want to reference an event or article, and I know the information peripherally, but finding the exact thing is nearly impossible.
