When I moved to NJ from Minnesota, I remarked on the amazing number of corruption stories. The last one I read about in the Mpls RedStar-Tribune was about some city politico who brought cookies to a meeting at an old-folks home. His opponent was almost apologetic when he brought up the charges.

The NJ natives assured me that it was just as corrupt in MN as NJ, the papers just didn't print it.

The good folks here in NJ didn't even believe the reaction to the Wellstone funeral was real. Seems the two states have quite a different view of what 'good folks' means.

NJ is the home of the mob and the home of very wealthy people. Bribes paid, donations made, threats made AND carried out. Makes for interesting life.....NOT!
