His parents are very involved with his whole life. His mother is a very forceful woman.

I can't believe he made them stand there though, I really think his father is going to have a heart attack or something, I mean he looked so stressed. That poor man, what a disgrace - when McGreevey says "he's gay" his father is rocking and rolls his eyes.

I can't figure the wife out at all, she is so betrayed. And they haven't been married that long.

It's one of those stories you just shake your head about, and it's gonna get worse

The media will make this about being gay and they will air only those voters who support McG, leaving the impression that it's all about homophobia and those mean ole republicans.

Let's hope not, I think the truth is going to finally set us free if we hold their feet to the fire. I still think it's got to be really really bad for McGreevey to give up the governorship, his free housing etc

I'm writing emails to representatives for tomorrow - I'm so tired of being the laughing stock of the country with these corrupt politicians.

When the news came out that financial buildings in Newark were targets McG turned down a meeting with Ridge to attend an NEA conference.

Security is not something high on his list of priorities and notice how the media protected him by making one small mention of this fact and moving on.

New Jersey has been corrupt since the beginning of time. It's a state with two things that lead to corruption. It's the home of the mob and it's full of rich people, very rich people.

I think this whole Machiavelli thing and Kushner getting busted is going to open an incredible can of worms. The corruption is so deep and a lot of it goes on in plain view and no one cares because its just business as usual in NJ.

dead, Re your post #1 - That was the same thing that jumped out at me: The contributor, Charles Kushner, has since been appointed to the board of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

And, of course, Kushner's more recent, uh, shall we say, activities...

PS annie, thanks for the ping. Very interesting article.

Re the article in your post #16 on Kushner -- The charges were announced by U.S. Attorney Christopher J. Christie for New Jersey.

Whew, NJ politics certainly keeps those US Attorneys busy...

But, you know, here's the really sicko thing: after rereading this article, and seeing this gov's speech, what world was this gov living in? His speech was a gay pride speech. Huh??? Commentators are actually saying "it was a courageous speech" blah, blah, blah. Well, rah rah for gay pride, all pride, etc., but such pride is not really the topic here...

"Melman likened Cipel's military service to serving five years in the U.S. Navy followed by 10 years in the National Guard "

I served in the US Navy. This makes it sound like I served with the Villiage People. What an afront to the US Miltary.
