"Now, why isn't this an election issue?"

For the simple reason that not all Christians vote as Christians. There is a major disconnect between what people say they believe about abortion and what they do about it in the voting booth.

And this is because the Christian Churches in this country for the most part have been silent. The Church is supposed to inform the conscience of it's people, and here it has failed miserably. There is not ample bandwidth to express how utterly miserable the failure has been.

IMO--The most responsible are the leaders in the Church.

That is one very good reason. The fear of God is missing by and large from the Christian church, and that translates into a form of dualistic existance between Sunday morning and the rest of the week. If the Bible ceases to become the Word of God and is instead relegated to the ranks of self-help guides, what impact would it then have?

Seeing these pictures - bloody, lifeless, mutilated little human beings who did nothing to deserve such a fate but exist - drives the evil of murder home to us. We can feel, in a feeble and shadowy way, a little of what God feels of indignation and wrath toward sin.

Prayer for God's mercy, that He would not forsake His 7,000 in Israel, though multitudes have bowed the knee to Baal and sacrificed on the alter of Molech...
