Those of us who are actually affected by this bill have seen our benefits improve dramatically, already. As those people who are supposedly choosing between food and medicine are ficticious, I guess their position is unchanged.

Polls and focus groups have shown that seniors want expanded benefits and do not want this bill repealed.
Kerry came out w/the DNC TPs early on to repeal the *bad bill*. After the poll/focus group results came in, he reverted to *fix this bill that doesn't go far enough".
They fed seniors a bunch of lies before the bill became active. Then they fought the administration's ability to use government funds to advertise it, saying it was a campaign ad. Then the Chamber of Commerce stepped in and paid for the first ads. Then the ads became just the "1-800-Medicare" ads so you could call and check for yourself and the Donks backed off after Tommy said the ads told the entire truth.
I may have missed something here.
If you have confused lifelong Dem relatives, take the time to go thru all this w/them, step-by-step and show them how they are better off, if not in utopia yet.
