Have we (the American gun owners) forgiven Smith & Wesson for their sin? Are we now allowed to buy Smiths with a clear conscience? Is the boycott over?

That depends on the person and how bad they want to buy a S&W gun.

I,for one, see no cause to forgive them, don't fall for the lame explanations that defy corporate law, and don't have an urge to buy S&W firearms when there are many more gun companies that actively support the RKBA and gun owners instead of slapping them in the face.

S&W was owned by a foreign company when they sold out to the gun grabbers. Since then, they've been purchased by an American company and they seem to be restoring their former glory, so most people have stopped boycotting them.

I could be wrong but I believe the people that owned S & W when all that happened are long gone. New owners running the place now and making lots of changes. Going back to the old reliable Smith and Wesson that we loved.
