This is an unfactual statement. Church History shows that the sinfulness of all men has been known, understood, emphasized, hidden from in denial, but the absolute basis of the need for God to rescue us. From the first pair of brothers, and Cain killing Abel, to this very week's news stories and our own consciences if we would but listen, the depravity of man is "a feature" of life.
