I'm still laughing...LOL....from your site's FAQs:
Who started MoveOnPlease?
MoveOnPlease was started by two Silicon Valley entrepreneurs who were frustrated by the amount of money they lost when the Clinton dot-com boom burst. With only one computer left between them and no experience in politics, they were able to sell Washington D.C. partisans on their ability to build an expensive business model on a nonexistent product and make it seem indispensable. On July 15, 2003, they launched an online petition to "Collect Names of People Who Are Willing To Sign Petitions." Within days hundreds of thousands of individuals saw that petition...none of whom signed. Using their political savvy they bought an adorable puppy they threatened to kill unless they received enough money to feed it. They then requested each person to donate $5 for the food and soon after MoveOnPlease was on their way.
