Oh boy...a ZOT thread, but i'd like to address it anyway.
I am a swing voter, neither Republican nor Democrat.
This is called, traditionally, an "independent" voter, not a swing voter. The political lexicon has been hijacked by Democrats. Your words mean things.
I supported President Bush in his response to September 11 and I supported the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
AND? Lots of folks all over the nation have done the same as you, even Democrats.
And interestingly you now use the past participal of support...supported...meaning that you no longer support him. Another telling use of words.
But I like John Kerry's message about the need to do something about the people in this country who have no health insurance.
It isn't the government's job to ensure that everybody has health insurance. Go purchase yourself some health insurance for yourself and don't expect others to pay for it for you.
And the discerning will note that you say you like "the message". I like lots of messages, like the Geico "messages", which means they're really just commercials. What you need to be asking yourself is what is "the plan". He's selling something. Are you buying it?
It's a hard choice.
Not really.

Golly, what can I say? I guess a swing voter should never venture into this forum. I came here in good faith and was called a socialist and a communist and a troll. Thanks a lot guys. I just wanted to talk.

He/She support
ed Bush's War On Terror, so did the Democrats at one point in history. They don't now, but they did until mid-October of 2001.
He/She "likes John Kerry's message".
I'd say He/She is a Democrat plant.
