I guess we're just pissed about how the media fawns over sKerry and demeans Bush every chance they get. I'm SICK of it! I hope Bush wins by a landslide just to prove those sanctimonious snobby talking heads wrong!
Awesome, adam! Saw the news last night (didn't want to see too much coverage and depress myself over not being there. lol.) and this is one time they couldn't hide how many people were there to support Bush. When Kerry has come to town I have not even heard of a crowd one-fourth as big. They did show the protestors across the street and interviewed ONE. Her complaint that the environment was bad because of this administration. (yeah! let those loggers thin out the forest and there aren't as many widespread forest fires. that is horrid!) Will probably go to your site and copy those pics onto my computer. :-)
JD...He's my MAN!
(other than Dubya, of course :)
Adam! Thanks so much for posting these pics! It's like being there vicariously though them.
SIGH
I had to give up my VIP tickets yesterday because of....WORK! Missed part of history (and one helluva good sobering chant for sanity!)
A caller on Bruce Jacobs' show this morning said she was the sister of the woman who had the sign "My son is in Iraq."
She said that after the speech, the president had the secret service bring her sister to him, and he hugged her and told her to tell her son how much he appreciates his service and that he prays for the troops everyday. Then he kissed her on the forehead!
OMG, is that touching.
Wow...what a difference!
And did that sign on the right side say "Adolf Gore"?
Sorry I didn't think of that.
I can't get the 2000 picture on my computer, but I was there that day, too! I hope never to have to do THAT again (2000 election), lol!
I brought my husband in to see the posts and photos since he didn't get to go with me. He says, "It's enjoyable to communicate without any jack a$$ liberals trying to manipulate the information!" He is new to Free Republic although he hears about it from me all the time.
It is almost like being there again to read this thread. President Bush is a true leader. I'm proud of him for being so kind and generous with the Soldiers Mom.
Amen. I'd rather a dozen root canals, a headful of blisters and a colonoscopy than to repeat that nightmare.
Well, maybe not a DOZEN root canals and the colonoscopy would be OK, just not that horrible stuff you have to drink first. :)
But yes, I know what you mean. Praying that this election is by an uncontestable margin, lol!
I did finally see the old pic of JD...he really has changed.
My dh and kids were at the airport meeting family coming in from Washington D.C. the same day he was leaving for Washington right after he was first elected. He seemed so excited and we wished him well. We reminded him of that when we saw him at the rally in 2000 (not that he remembered).
I often hear people speak negatively about his personality. But he is what you see...a large guy with a large pesonality who comes across to me as very honest and who just loves his family and his country.
