O'Neill, the author of "Unfit for Command" and founder of Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, can be heard on the Nixon tapes – unaware that he was being taped – telling Nixon that he came from a family of Democrats and voted for Hubert Humphrey in the prior election.

I'm not sure I'd ever heard this. BUMP!

On Saturday's Capital Gang, Kate O'Bierne told Al Hunt that O'Neill voted for Hubert Humphrey when Hunt was attacking the swifties for being partisan republicans.

Ann is right. I've never seen the democrats so upset. Heads exploding all over! Al Hunt, Susan Estrich, Donna Brazille, Lanny Davis, and today, Admiral Crowe while debating with John O'Neill on the Wolf Blitzer show. They've lost their cool totally, reduced to insults. All they can do is hurl insults and try to talk over O'Neill so he can't be heard.

They've introduced another "spinner". A black guy, last name Johnson, was at bat on several shows today, hired to do battle with the swifties on television. Like Crowe being brought onboard to deal with this problem, he can only mouth what the campaign has directed him to say, no facts, nothing in rebuttal, just attacks to destroy the credibility of these veterans.
