Me: There is a world of difference between having a Muslim background and trying to hide a Muslim background. Since he hasn't tried to hide it (he talks about it in the newspaper stories about his background, not to mention in his own book), there's no news there. I would hazard a guess that 90% of people who hear his name think he is Muslim anyway (which he isn't). There are a thousand legitimate reasons to oppose Obama and support Keyes, but this isn't one of them.

I agree that there a thousand reasons to vote against Obama. However, if he has Muslim or pro-Arab sympathies that he is hiding, that would be a legitimate reason too.

For many Jewish voters, who normally vote Democratic, this would be a deciding issue and it is a legitmate issue to bring up.

It has to be publicized better.
