The Kerry Spot at NRO.com is slapping down "The Note" already!

NO GORE VOTERS FOR BUSH? ANYWHERE? [08/11 11:16 AM]

ABC's The Note also writes, “Forget the fact that that we still can't find a single American who voted for Al Gore in 2000 who is planning to vote for George Bush in 2004. (If you are that elusive figure, e-mail us and tell us who you are and why: politicalunit@abcnews.com.)”

I know of at least one friend, leans Democrat, comes from a big union town, likes Democratic economic policies, and I’m pretty sure he voted Gore in 2000. (Although he thought the ‘hanging chads’ arguments of the Gore team were ludicrous.) Anyway, he's been pro-Bush since 9/11, and wants an aggressive anti-terrorism policy.

I’ll bet he’s not the only one, particularly in the Virginia/New York/New Jersey region. Or there’s blogger Roger Simon. I wonder who St. Paul Mayor Randy Kelly, Sen. Zell Miller and former New York City Mayor Ed Koch voted for in 2000. U.S.Rep. Rodney Alexander of Louisiana recently switched parties to the GOP; it would be interesting to see who he voted for last time. He’s not my favorite person, but Geraldo Rivera seems to have made an ideological shift since 9/11. Don’t know if comedian and talk show host Dennis Miller voted for Gore. Did a Google search, found a column by Jeffrey Scott Shapiro along these lines.

I don’t know how many Gore voters nationwide will switch to Bush, but you can’t say there are none.

UPDATE: I'm getting lots of great emails from Kerry Spot readers who pulled the lever for Gore four years ago but who support Bush this time. Folks, thanks, but I'm the one who believed you existed. Send the emails to politicalunit@abcnews.com. And be nice, because they're mostly good folks over there, who just need to look at the electorate with a slightly wider lens.

UPDATE, AGAIN: OpinionJournal.com ran letters from these types of voters a little while ago.

JEEZ, ARE ANY GORE VOTERS PULLING THE LEVER FOR KERRY THIS YEAR? [08/11 01:13 PM]

It appears there are about a hillion jillion billion google and one Gore voters who are voting for Bush this year. How do I know this? Because it appears every last one of them decided to e-mail me in response to this post. Again, folks, it’s great to hear from you, but honestly, I’m not the one who needs to hear from you. ABC News does. So e-mail politicalunit@abcnews.com (and cc me if you like).

And yes, author Ronald Kessler voted for Gore and is now actively supporting President Bush. Thanks to the teeming millions who pointed this out.

Thanks as always for the ping!

There's always two sides eh? Check this out. http://mediamatters.org/items/200408110009

Media Matters - bah! Read down way at the bottom of that link above who they are. Very ANTI-Republican.

---

I for one have been fotunate for some time to see and hear much of reports about this on tv, many channels - mostly cable. ABC,CBS,NBC - who watches anymore? LOL. I do switch around to see if they cover it. Just a little; and very negative about it. Jump on the Vets. Don't look into allegations. Who would expect anything more from them??? Not me. I will never check them out for any REAL news!!

Fox reporter Hannity has done the very best, IMO. His cohort, Colmes, wouldn't even begin to entertain the idea that Swift Boat Veterans should be heard. He just bashed them as messengers, as did most media outlets. O'Reilly just wants to be so 'fair' he bends a little to much in the breeze I think. On the other hand, he on Fox News is about the only one I've seen who DOES court both sides.

But! Man! Gotta say it's sure getting bigtime press lateley! Yahoo!

I'm just tickled PINK that finally mainstream press got going with this! It seems to me that's where the mainstream do realy get their info. And that goes for newspapers too. Even though they DO BIAS reporting, at least the info is getting out there.

One thing I read earlier - hot topic around the water cooler.

WooHoo! That's talking amongst everyday folks, eh!!!
====

Of course, as we all know, you just can't beat the Internet (and Freerepublic) for real-time fast news, huh?

I find it fun to go go Google News and search on
Swift Kerry (no quotes) Thousands of links. swift kerry 3,890+ links on this page of Google News. It should change/date as time goes forward.
