What's wrong with you? Still mad he freed the slaves or what?

Lincoln defended a slave owner against his slave in court. During his career, Lincoln stumped for a lily-white west. He supported secession in 1848 voicing his displeasure against the Mexican War. In 1861 Lincoln favored a constitutional amendment guaranteeing slavery to exist forever. In 1862, during the war, he proposed one guaranteeing slavery to exist until 1900. During his administration he had a Commissioner of Immigration who shared Lincoln's policies of colonizing blacks OUT of the US of A until late 1864. In April of 1865, Lincoln asked Gen. Benjamin Butler about sending the ex-slaves that fought for the Union to dig the Panama Canal.

Lincoln did not end slavery - the 13th Amendment ended slavery.

"Lincoln did not end slavery - the 13th Amendment ended slavery."

Then who's signature is on the Emancipation Proclomation?

Why is there a big push by some people to push what Lincoln did completely out of the picture and make him almost a non-entity where the ending of Slavery is concerned?
