Scott Peterson could barely take his eyes off Amber Frey, in her tight, charcoal suit and ratty hair dyed a shocking shade of home-brewed blond. Amber. Sweetie. How close we came!
It had been nearly two excruciatingly long years since Scott laid eyes on that pale, slightly yellow-tinged skin and dazzling white overbite. Since he heard that tiny, childlike voice pester him about her kid, her needs, her fears, dreams, hopes, blah, blah and blah.
But then, it was also that long since Scott gazed on those gazelle legs that yesterday ended in pointy-toed black sling-backs with three-inch spike heels. Oh Amber. Playful, painful Amber.
Once it seemed as if Amber would follow Scott to the ends of the Earth, but this was only Redwood City. Amber had indeed followed her feckless lover here, but this time to try to push the lying lout into a quick death by lethal injection.
And to do that, she would have to spill.
It was Nov. 20, 2002, when they first hooked up. In Fresno. At a place called Elephant Bar.
When they set up the date, "he joked that he was not very tall, overweight belly, long greasy hair," Amber testified about her first phone conversation with the man who sat across the courtroom from her yesterday like a long-lost puppy.

I was not trashing Amber, simply making analytical observations. I have nothing against Amber Frey, in my past life I might have dated her too.
She is a single mother and probably would would like some stability and another income in the house. Then this guy comes along and pretends that he is big bucks and therefore Amber (rhymes with "bucks"), thinking that somehow that will snare him into a relationship. Of course, Amber probably has been repeating this pattern since high school, always ending with the same result.

Hardly. She's o.k. but nothing great. His wife was lot "hotter" looking.
What does look has to do with it. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Scott was a skirt chaser and he had the perfect partner in Ember, she stroked his ego and she was easy to fool.

How petty.. She had just been told that the man she was seeing was married and possibly a suspect in his wife's disappearance. I wonder how anyone of us would feel and look in these conditions. I'm sure her make-up and her hair was the last thing on her mind.

Uhh, I do have compassion for her. She was blind-sided by a creep who is probably an accomplished sociopath as well as a murderer. Scott is every mother and father's worse dream come true.
But I fail to see anything physically attractive about her.
