Watching Pat Buchanan on "Scarborough Country" last night he had John O'Neal on first. After the commercial break he came back with three "pundits". First, some Kerry campaign guy then a fellow described as an "NBC Political Analyst" and then Ted Sampley. When it was Ted Sampley's turn to talk, the first thing the "NBC Political Analyst"
(read: Democrat political hack) did was jump in and say, "Aren't you a convicted felon?" and steered the conversation off to focus on Ted Sampley and his assault conviction.
Unfortunately, Ted Sampley was more than happy to engage in that battle and the Swifties Against Kerry topic was barely touched.
That political hack was Lawrence O'Donnell, and yes, it precipitated to the point of character assasssination of Ted Sampley.
You're right, Ted Sampley was snookered and took the bait and made a fool of on national TV.
