Good morning Mama Bear. I'll be thinking about you today as you go through a root canal. Praying things will go smoothly without much pain.
I, for one, will be glad to see summer end this year. I really have a hard time with the heat and my body much prefers cooler temps. Bring on winter!! Could be why I loved living in Wisconsin. Cooler summers and absolutely beautiful winters. Call me crazy but I miss snow. I'd move back there in a flash if I could. (homesick for Wis-cahn-sin sigh)
Good morning to all the Finest!
Gabz, sorry to be so late replying to your yesterday's greeting post but my computer is acting up again. I still haven't ironed out all the problems yet, but at least I can get Free Republic. I even had to log back in! No joke.
LadyMaggie, how is my clone doing? :-)

Morning Lakeside!
I had a meeting to attend last night and when I got home just didn't feel like turning on the puter. In fact I sat and watched the World Series of Poker with hubby - it was an absolute screaming riot!!!
Sorry to hear about your ongoing puter problems - I hate when that happens to me.......and the worst thing about it is that hubby is a computer tech!!!

What's Your Identity?
Read: Galatians 3:26-4:7
You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26
Bible In One Year: Psalms 81-83; Romans 11:19-36
How do people identify you? Do they say, "Hey, there's the guy who sells cars." Or "That woman is a school teacher."
When our oldest daughter was little, she sang on a national children's radio program, and I liked being known as "Lisa Sue's dad." Since 1990, I've enjoyed being "The Sports Spectrum guy" because of my work with that magazine. We all have little titles that others use to identify us.
Jesus asked His disciples, "Who do men say that I am?" (Mark 8:27). Some thought He was Elijah or another prophet. But those who knew Him best said, "You are the Christ" (v.29). That was the right label for the Savior of the world.
What are you called by those who know you best? Do they say, "He's a follower of Jesusyou can just tell"? It may depend on how you talk with people, how you treat your family, and the way you live.
The apostle Paul said we are all "sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus" (Galatians 3:26). That intimate identification with God the Father should naturally express itself to our friends and acquaintances.
Those closest to Jesus knew He was the Savior. Do those close to us know that we belong to Him? Dave Branon
Show me the way, Lord, let my light shine
As an example of good to mankind;
Help them to see the patterns of Thee
Shining in beauty, lived out in me. Neuer
Do those who know you know you are a Christian?

Same here!! (groan) The only places I go are here and the occasional web surfing. I have Zone Alarm and Spybot running. I ran a test to see how vulnerable my 'puter was surfing the web and the results showed I was virtually "invisible". Why me? When my techno savvy sons are here they have gone over it with a fine toothed comb and have found no reason for it.
And lest some of you think it's just a "loose nut behind the keyboard" (smile) my sons encounter the very same problems on my 'puter that I do.
I guess I'll just have to put up with it...

Good morning everyone!
I hate to post a thread and then have to leave it, but I am off to see the dentist this morning. I will be back just as soon as I can.
Have a nice day. I'm sure I will after this ordeal at the dentist is over. :-(

LOL!!!!!!!!!!
The last time I had a major problem I had a friend in the Netherlands remote access my system to solve the problem - because hubby was out fixing a buddy's machine.
Sort of like it's the plumber's wife with the clogged drains!

Take the gas; you'll still feel it, but you won't give a rat's rearend! I just had one last week, and they strapped the mask on when I was in the waiting room. They know i'm a devout coward in the dentist's chair.
