There's something odd going on; draw a line from the tip of Kerry's nose to the tip of his nose's shadow. Do the same for the guy next to him, in the white tee-shirt. They are parallel, as one would expect. Now draw a line from the elbow of the guy in the teeshirt to the shadow of his elbow. I submit that by inspection one can see this line is not parallel with the first two (nose shadow) lines.

I would agree if the elbow shadow is cast on an object that is in the same plane. In this case the man's leg is behind and may be at a different angle. If we were looking at cardboard cutouts (Kerry is one in real life) then the shadows cast would be very suspect. I don't think drawing lines as you describes is an accurate way of analyzing the photo.

There is a "fuzzy" distortion around their head and shoulders - exactly as if the pixels between their head and the water were blended or mixed together.

This photo is in jpg format. There are always those kinds of distortions created when a photo is saved in that format such as the one I have here.
If the crew picture is a forgery, great. We caught the creep in another lie. But let's be certain the photo in question is a fake. Fuzzies on the edges is not an indication.

Look at the watch the guy with glasses, has on. Can you make out the time?

Not from a low resolution Internet graphic. Perhaps the original photo could be exploded to see the time.
