How desperate are the Democrats when confronted with Kerry's possible lying nuance about Cambodia? Enough so to run this picture from the Yale yearbook showing Bush playing Rugby:
Our intrepid partisan then notes:
As long as we're re-examining the 1960s, looking for signs of character, trying to decide if a man who volunteered for combat and was decorated five times was more or less courageous than a guy who didn't even show up for his own medical exam... here's George W. Bush during his college days, hitting a fellow sportsman in the face.
As you can see, W was not actually ON the rugby "pitch" but was only NEAR it, so the rules do not apply.
If that means given the chance, GW would sucker punch Iran and NK...I'm all for it. The plan is to beat the enemy any way, any how, not surrender.
Checked with a rugby player. Neither of these acts is illegal.
Obviously, most folks would react much more positively a photo of a Boston Brahmin riding his $8,000.00 bicycle.
GO BUSH!!!!
The Left has finally lost it.
Kerry's foray into Nam doesn't show he is braver than Bush, but it does show he was far more ambitious. Kerry was running for President in the womb. Kerry took a risk to get a PT 109 story so he could be POTUS.
He ended up serving four controversial months, snagging very iffy Purple Hearts and other medals and slandering a whole generation of Vets. Now he acts like Vietnam was the Revolutionary War-- that's not what he said in '71. He said it was a dirty, immoral war fought by war criminals.
If our nation has any respect left for Duty, Honor Country-- this guy gets creamed in November.
I thought George W was supposed to be a girlie-man male cheerleader when he was at Yale.
Turns out he was a butt kicker in college after all.
I love Rugby, its a fun game to watch, at the same time, the players who play the game are flat out insane. George W's actions in the photo are mundane compared to some of the crap that goes on.
More proof that the left is made up of a bunch of pu**ies.
Dubya isn't someone you want to mess with.
Another miscue by the "never wore a jock-strap" dems. Anyone who ever actually played rugby knows that punching the ball loose is a fundamental skill that is taught. (remember that, unlike American football, you can't lower your shoulder to make a "clean" tackle.) Additionally, this reinforces Bush's tough guy, take no BS, image.
Thanks to Moe Lauzier of WRKO in Boston for linking to this thread. He's talking about it right now on his morning show. It gives those of us who'd not noticed the great photo to have a second chance of seeing our "action president" at work!
