I read his remarks and shrugged, to be honest. Sort of "aother day at the office" for me, though I don't personally use the same language. After 9/11, you can't really blame people for people for letting it fly a little bit.

As for calling Hillary names...so? And since when has the media been champions of the Catholic church?

I am probably thinking wishfully here, but I hope people see this as the media intruding on someone's private life. A lot of people visit internet forums as a means of recreation, so I hope people can relate to him on that level.

The posts the media is acting outraged over really don't have anything to do with Kerry's service, do they?

The problem is Mr. Corsi's comments have given the Kerry campaign and the media a chance to deal a heavy blow to the SBVfT without even addressing their charges against Kerry.

Whether true or not, the Kerry crowd has grounds to call Mr. Corsi a "bigot" and "hatemonger." They can point to his comments, even though he's apologized and disowns them, as evidence to discredit the Swifties.

The Swifties faced a tough enough fight already. This is one they didn't need and could have been avoided.
