I think this is who you might have been asking about...everthing's fine...see below! I went on a look for an update on 'em, too.

My in laws are in North Port. About 10 miles from Venice and a couple of miles from Port Charlotte. Just talked to them on the phone and they said the hurricane is going to miss them. Supposedly they are watching their local weather. They haven't taken any precautions, no boarding of windows, nothing. Are they in trouble from what you can gather about the storm?

Just spoke to in laws in North Port. They still have power, no flooding, and just a small branch down. So, North Port made it through the storm, for those having family and friends in that area.

Close. The post I referenced was about a couple who were 81 and 83 years old. IIRC, they live near the shore.

That thread is way too long to search. Thanks for looking.
