I will have to try some Guiness. Many U.S. beers I have tasted taste like water to me. Now that I have developed a taste for it (thanks to a recent in the past tooth problem), I have been drinking Strohs for its cheapness and the expensive little neck bottles of Corona called Coronita for their slightly better taste and the fact that they stay ice cold until they are finished in -- oh -- about 7 longish sips or so. I am ready for a strong beer!

Years ago, I was on an English brew and even an ale binge for about a month and I tasted some brews called Newscastle (I chose it because it had an English cavalier from the 16th/17th Cebtury on the label and I love everything 16th/17th Century England) and some other mostly English brews with names I cannot recall.
