so the butt wound was self-inflicted? it didn't come from John Edwards?
"Brown rice ass" Kerry....the "war hero".
"You write one up for me, I'll write one up for you?"
LOL. That's a good name for Kerry.."brown rice ass man," I like it.
Jesus Christ! . . . In other words the "wound" was barely visible. The man's an embarrassment to company clerks everywhere!
John Kerry might have himself a potential person to help with his jeorney to decieve America tour.
Cheese!
Always knew Kerry was a pain in the butt.
Now we know he has only himself to blame!
I doubt it. Kerry gunned the boat. Rassman fell off. No hostile fire. Why the medal for a simple retrieval?
OMG .. you owe me a keyboard after reading that post *L*
I'm just wondering if Kerry slid Rassmann a medal recommendation for some other non-event. Could explain a lot.
You know what's the best part about being wounded in the buttocks? The ice cream! They gave me all the ice cream I could eat....Lt. Dan...ICE CREAM!--Forrest Gump
>>Big question: Did Kerry and Rassmann "trade" medal recommendations?
>>"You write one up for me, I'll write one up for you?"
Sounds HIGHLY likely... Also note those guys on his boat
that support him, ALSO sport a medal.
Why should they tarnish THEIR OWN heroism award?
lol...see my tagline
It does happen.

The book also sheds new light on a controversial attack by Kerry's swift boat against an unarmed sampan in January 1969 in which a Vietnamese boy was killed. The authors charge that Kerry raked the sampan with heavy .50-caliber machinegun fire before approaching it and later attempted to cover up the death of the boy by filing a report claiming five dead "VC" dead and no mention of the child.
Kerry has said he it was a "terrible" incident that could not have been prevented and he will never forget the sight of the dead child.
From Gardner's appearance on the Savage Nation, 6 AUG:
Gardner: One particular instance that I was with John, specifically, on where we were [sic] in a sam . . where we picked up a sampan that had . . that was running our blockade, at night. And this sampan, when we put the lights on it, we told it to, Dung li [?], Stop! It didn't stop. I had to shoot to stop it. The guy was already reaching for a gun, had already come up above the gunnel with it. When he come up, I peeled his butt right out of the boat. I killed him grave-yard dead. Now, the bad part of this story is that what haunts me to this day is that fact, that in doing that, I also shot a little boy that was laying in the bottom of the boat that was probably his son. The bad part about that is, again, here's a father that takes his kids [sic] and uses them as a decoy to go run rice to the Vietcong. So, as we pulled up alongside of the boat, I noticed that there's two . . there's another . . there's a couple [sic] sitting in the front. There's a woman sitting there. We grab her and pull her up on the boat. She okay. How I missed her, I don't know. But thank God I did. But that's it. The boat was sinking because I put so many rounds in it, right there. . . . We saw this kid. And we saw all this rice, and everything, in the boat. So we knew that it had been going up to this strength . . the VC stronghold. Now the sad part of this whole situation is that . . and John was never . . John Kerry would have never had any problems until he brought this all to the fore. I have what they called the sitrep. It's a situation report that John Kerry, himself, wrote. And in this report . . he not only . . he said, this is fantastic, man. He just multipied everything. Here we've got a little thirty foot sampan that's about thirty inches wide. John Kerry said that this sampan had five thousand pounds of fish, rice, food, and personnel in it, when we shot it up. . . .Here's the real crux of what he did. . . . John claims that four guys jumped out of the boat and fled to the beach. . . .
Savage: . . . There's a discrepancy between John Kerry's report and your view of it. . . .
Gardner: He said, actually, that there were five, including the guy that I killed, obviously. . . .
To state the obvious - the stories appear to conflict.
I get the sense that Kerry tried to bug out when he thought someone might be shooting at him. He was supposed to be tactical officer in charge of the group of three boats. They fired toward shore, but no one fired back. Rassmann was apparently sitting on the stern, smoking or something. And Kerry has them GUNNnn the boat, so that I can imagine Rassmann tumbling backward, head first - funny if you think about it. I guess Gardner was no longer the gunner. If he had been, I suspect he'd have turned them on Kerry, if that were possible - you're the officer . . get your ASS back there. Don't leave the other two boats by themselves! So, somebody must have suggested it, and Kerry goes back and pulls Rassmann out of the water - thus, saving his life, for which Rassmann if forever grateful. Yeaaah.
Amazing war record.
I wonder if Kerry pulled his pants down to show people his wound in the Butt-TOCKS."
What PISSES me off is how McCain has given Kerry cover. That man simply HAS TO GO.
