I saw it......it was fabulous.
The Kerry campaign had not gotten back to him by show time to explain the discrepancies (lies)! When Cameron first asked them about it today, they DENIED Kerry every said such a thing.
Carl evidently had the Congressional record and showed them!!!
Now, will ABC's NIGHTLINE address Cambodia? Will ABC's Jack Tapper question the integrity of 250, medal holding Viet Nam veterans, some of whom were Kerry's commanding officers? We'll see.
As of the report on Hume's show, the campaign still had NOT gotten back to Cameron.
Carl evidently had the Congressional record and showed them!!!
He also had found a letter from 1979 that Kerry had written to the editor of some paper (Globe?) in which he told his Cambodian tale AND mentioned "Nixon".
Glad to see there's a thread on this.
Just outstanding, guess I will turn my TV back on!
I await the Gary Hart withdrawal.
I was talking to a local media type acquaintance the other day, and I told him, "Mr. Local Politician should be asked some hard questions about Topic A. How could you have covered this huge event he had and not asked the question." He replied, "Oh, you just don't do that," as if I had asked about drinking directly out of the punch bowl. "You just can't ask questions like that and maintain the relationship it takes to keep having access to that person," he added. This was a local journalist being asked about a local politician. Imagine the grand scale of this French-like journalistic attitude on the national scene.
Amazing that brazen 'denial tactic'; when cornered by truth; just deny, deny. . .deny. These people do it all the time.
They will challenge their opponent; accuse him of outright lies; misrepresenting an issue. . .they in turn, deny. . .lie; misrepresent et al. And always promise to return. . .with the 'truth of the matter'.
