Fitzgerald is investigating whether Bush administration officials knowingly leaked Plame's name to syndicated columnist Robert D. Novak last July. You know, it so easy to figure out that the investigation is way beyond who said what to Novak. Is it laziness behind this constant misreporting?

Awright! Throw him in the clink and put panties on his head! That'll teach him.
(Unless he already knows how to put panties on his head.)

I wonder when we'll see a grand jury convened to investigate who leaked the name of the Al-Queda operative in Pakistan to the NY Times? Or, maybe a grand jury to prosecute Sandy Burglar? When pigs fly?

I'd like to see fatass Tim Russert tied to the whipping post. Bet he'd squeal real good.
To: cyncooper
I think Wilson leaked his own wife's name and the journalist used the term "White House Sources" trying to get some Anti-Bush Conspiracy out there! The journalist won't talk or they can kiss all their credibility good-bye! Wilson had a book to write and he felt it should be spiced up a bit with a little conspiracy but he probably never thought it would get this far.

I agree. I also believe that the demand for an investigation was made believing that the Administration would not order one, and thereby feeding the conspiracy tales with a cover-up thrown in. Probably would have made for good impeachment ammo when Bush wins a second term.
But, in response an invetigation was started. Oops. heh heh.

Clarke gets my vote!
Didn't this all come out right after Clarke resigned from the WH ..?? I thought that was very curious.

Novak may have already spoken with the grand jury.
Also, as I previously stated, I wouldn't be so sure the focus of the grand jury is who "leaked" Plame's name.

Perhaps the reporter won't spill the beans because then it will be revealed that the source was NOT the White House!

The DUmmies have been getting themselves all creamy talking about the 'PLAME GRAND JURY INDICTMENTS.'
They have a long series of threads on the topic, I think its up to 14 or so by now. LOL

Novack was the one who wrote the original story. Novack was the one who 'acquired' the name and published it.
Russert is kind of a secondary player. IIRC, he interviewed Novack when the name was first published.
