Amber Alert Issued For Missing Newborn [Boston, Massachusetts]

Massachusetts State Police have issued an Amber Alert for the greater Boston area for a missing newborn who is only 19 days old.

Police are looking for a man in connection with the infant's disappearance. They have identified him as Josh Lizama, 28, described as having black hair, about 5 feet, 5 inches, wearing black and beige pants. Police said he may be armed. Another male may be driving the car.

Authorities are looking for a freshly-painted 1998 White Ford Crown Victoria with a license plate of 5192VR. They said there was also information that cars may have been switched and they are also looking for a red, 1994 Subaru SVX.

The baby was identified as Michael Stephen Riuda of East Boston. He was last seen at his East Boston apartment at 247 Bennington Street about 8:30 a.m. Monday.

Boston Police are asking that anyone with any information contact them at (617) 343-4220.

BOSTON -- State police have issued an amber alert for a 19-day-old baby who may have been kidnapped in East Boston.

A Boston police spokesman says the infant, Michael Steven Rauda, was snatched from his mother as she was walking on Bennington Street this morning.

Police are seeking the baby's father, 28-year-old Jose Lizama, who also goes by the name Jose Granados. According to the Amber Alert, Lizama fled in a 1998 White Crown Victoria with Massachusetts license plate 5192VR.

Police say the baby could be in extreme danger. They say Lizama may be armed and a woman may be with him in the car.

The suspect is described as about five-foot-five and was last seen wearing a black shirt and beige pants. (AP)
