Anyone remember a film called CROSS OF IRON by Sam Pekinpah?
A German officer goes to the Russsian front to win an iron cross for political reasons.
At the end of the film James Colburn takes him "where the iron crosses grow".
In the last scenes we find out the officer does not know how to operate a firearm.
Reminds me of sKerry.

"CROSS OF IRON by Sam Pekinpah?"
One of the most graphicly violent films I've ever seen, bar none. Battle scenes in slow motion, Blood spurting everwhere. Typical Pekinpah film. Saving Private Ryan had nothing on that gore-fest.
