"CROSS OF IRON by Sam Pekinpah?"
One of the most graphicly violent films I've ever seen, bar none. Battle scenes in slow motion, Blood spurting everwhere. Typical Pekinpah film. Saving Private Ryan had nothing on that gore-fest.

Kerry should have never been awarded the first PH and his C.O. "laughed it off!" because Kerry's crew admitted that the day Kerry claimed to have been WIA there was no enemy contact!Kelly, is it possible that the Navy knew Kerry was incompetent (unfit for command) and let him take the out offered by three purple hearts just to get rid of him?

...Since Kerry insists he was wounded so severely that "his blood pooled on the deck "( from his bio) this all can be settled by just showing us the scar...If anything was "pooled on the deck" it was probably a yellowish body fluid.

Full release of documents demanded by his critics could settle this claim quickly if it is unwarranted.Hard to dispute.

You'd have to ask the Navy.
But if the Navy knew he was incompetent why in heaven's name award him a Bronze and Silver Star??
All I know is that if we had a *uckup in the bush, we choppered his arse back to the rear. And we sure as hell didn't give them any medals.
In fact they were lucky if they weren't demoted if not court-martialed!!!
No drugs and no *uckups were tolerated in the bush.
Our lives depended too much on each other to have clowns like Kerry.
But of course I was in the Marines, so we operated a little more efficiently than the Navy apparently did. LMAO
Semper Fi,
Kelly

O'Neill told me that these former sailors served with Kerry no more than five weeks. Jim Rassmann, now part of the Kerry presidential campaign, was a Special Forces lieutenant spending a few days with Kerry when he fell or was knocked off the swift boat while under fire and was fished out of the Mekong River by the future candidate. He only knew Kerry for a couple of days???

With all the worthwhile candidates to choose from, why the hell did they pick Hanoi John? The Dem's were in a "anybody but Dean" mode.
To: daylate-dollarshort
Well, I stand corrected. Thanks for the info. You learn something everyday.
But, I swear, a few years ago, I thought he spoke of being a Republican.
Anyway, so much for that.

He [Rassmann] only knew Kerry for a couple of days?? Oh, you didn't know? The media has made a point of making sure the public has all the relevant facts. (/sarcasm)
Rassmann was a Green Beret (Army). Kerry was in the Navy.

Mr Novak, Thank you for having the courage to keep the Swifties story alive. Senator Kerry has foisted this charade on the American people for far too long and the media has been glad to carry his water for him.
I salute you.
