Wow, this guy drank his share of the Islamikazi Cool-Aid.

I love the line about collaboration to assure the defeat of Carter. "In October, 1980 emissaries of the Republican Party met secretly with the Ayatollah's regime and persuaded it not to release the hostages until the election was over, thus guaranteeing the defeat of Jimmy Carter." It's so ludicrous from so many angles that further comment's not needed...on this forum.

Good read though F14. Never hurts to know how the enemy, traitors, and conspiracy theorists think.

I guess 3000 of our people were killed by nonexistent enemy. I guess 30 years of world wide terrorism was by a nonexistent enemy and I guess you agree with this article since your only comment was "long read".

The guy is at least partially right.

Jimmy Carter and his "Dr. Strangelove", Zbigniew Brzenski (and God only knows if I spelled it correctly) did "play the Islamic card" against the Soviet Union, inadvertently setting in motion the overthrow of the Shah, the rise of the Taliban, and the strengthening of all sorts of loony, murderous, Muslim nut-jobs. But, doing little if anything to hasten the demise of the Soviet Union. That had to wait for someone who knew what he was doing - the incomparable Ronald Reagan.

It proves once again that just because a "Jimmy" can make a monster doesn't mean he can control one.

To these people it is always America's fault no matter what happens...

Total intellectual sophistry.

"Anonymous," a CIA analyst for 22-years who has just published Imperial Hubris: Why the West Is Losing the War on Terror, writes that the United States has "waged two failed half-wars and, in doing so, left Afghanistan and Iraq seething with anti-U.S. sentiment, fertile grounds for the expansion of al-Qaeda and kindred groups.

That's right!!! Before our two wars both Afghanistan and Iraq were full of moderate Muslims who loved America and all we stand for.

US rulers need to create a frightening, ubiquitous, and apparently powerful enemy against which to wage endless war.

Wow, how very 1984.

This writer Stratman has written previously:

"I submit that the U.S. has determined (whether with the connivance of its elite partners is not clear) to serve a role similar to that of the Nazi regime in the 1930s and ’40s. The U.S. will play Fourth Reich to the other governments of the world, in particular to those most likely to be threatened by mass insurrections and revolutionary upheavals in the coming years: China, certain Western European powers, and South American nations."

http://www.hartford-hwp.com/archives/27c/356.html

His hatred against the US is obvious. His writings are full of rants about the "Let the workers of the world unite" as if Lenin had come back from the grave. Here's someone still toiling away in the old Communist graveyard as if the outcome of the last century never occurred.

Another great example of the way liberals view conservatives and the world. Conservatives are only popular because we have the courage to take a stand against an enemy. Wars only exist only because conservatives are willing to fight them. The authors initial premise is that if one party refuses to engage in a war the war dosen't exist.

From there the article just gets silly.

Ah, Michael Moore with a university degree. Twaddle!

I guess this guy hasn't notice that there are no US colonies ANYWHERE. If we want oil, we buy it. All we want is to live our lives without being blown up. If we can accomplish that and at the same time free people who are living in oppresive countries, great.
