Me three!
Onward, optimism!
The American people just don't understand that Vietnam Vets have had to live in the tent pitched for them by John Kerry, as dishonorable men of the highest order, because of his lying testimony to Congress in the early 1970's. We are still PO'd and this time we can do something about it. We are not going away....
For those of us who were there it is obvious his exploits in 4 months could only have happened in his mind. Combat is not like that...anyone with half a brain could ascertain he was a lying fraud. So those of you who have no reference point....trust me....the swifties are telling the truth. Ask yourself: "What would they have to gain by lying about Kerry"? If it had been anybody else in that unit running for President....those guys would have been falling over themselves to support him....but the only support Kerry can muster is a few EM...that frankly are having their 15 minutes of fame and in all likelihood have been promised God only knows what if this Traitor is elected.
Another relevant question....has Kerry regularly traded phone calls, had dinner with them...attended reunions? I think not. They are window dressing...pure and simple.
My advice: Make another contribution at www.swiftvets.com
I have and as Jackie Gleason used to say "HOW GOOD IT FEELS"
Same here. I'm afraid that Americans could actually be gullible enough to elect this fraud.
God help us.
"Because taking shots at a man or those who served with him in Vietnam is not received well by voters."
Taking shots at those who served in Viet Nam was well received when Kerry told the Senate committee that everyone there was commiting war crimes on a regular basis back in 1970 or 1971. What do you think has changed in the meantime? Besides, those who are stating this are multiple witnesses who were in Viet Nam and served as Kerry's peer or higher ups.
I would agree that there is something out there that is even more damning -- these whole Vietnam deal is puzzling as his comments are being torn apart soon after he tells his next Whopper. Cannot believe he is so naive to think he could get by with his Whoppers. Two and two do not add up but then we are talking RATs!
You are talking to the half glass full person. Polls are meaningless right now. I have even quit posting my "sky is falling" comments -- not worth my time because the same people get on the threads with their "doom and gloom!"
Negative people irritate me as a matter of fact!
Thanks for the information. That's the one!
Lots of parallels with Kerry's account of his Vietnam experience (rape, pillaging, killing innocents, the Genghis Khan reference).
If Kerry didn't participate in or witness these activities firsthand, how does he know what really happened?
Either way, looks like Mr. Kerry has some explainin' to do.
Obviously. But more to the point, Hannity said:
Hannity: And, General, I know you're an independent, politically. But I am sick and tired of liberals, in this country, that have politicized our national security and have second-guessed our good work, here. Are you?
Franks: I am. [applause]
I think that's the story. I wonder if Charlie Daniels will rewrite the lyrics for this occasion - Still in Sa Dec, I am . . still in Sa Dec?
I remember that. Gave me chills (and a whole lotta hope).
The screenwriter, David Rabe, served in Vietnam. 'Casualties of War' was originally a New Yorker piece written by Daniel Lang. The movie's basis a 1969 article and later novel by Daniel Lang that documented a real incident in Vietnam. Would be interesting to know from whom Lang got the story on which he based the article.
---Either way, looks like Mr. Kerry has some explainin' to do.---
I've sent two polite emails to the Kerry campaign asking about military records and the Cambodia story which is in the Congressional record. So, far no reply, not even an acknowledgment.
Here's the Genghis Khan quote, made by Kerry in 1971, as reported by the Washington Times (May 2, 2004):
"He [Kerry] asserted our soldiers 'raped, cut off ears, cut off heads,... cut off limbs, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages... reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside.'"
The movie depicts rape (of a Vietnamese girl by American soldiers), razing villages, shooting for fun, etc. It also compares what the Americans were doing to the exploits of Genghis Khan.
Hmmm.
I imagine they are frantically working overtime to refute or silence the claims of the Swift Boat Veterans and spin their own story to the media.
We need to keep digging until we have incontrovertible proof of Kerry's lies/atrocities/betrayals, etc. Then we can present the evidence and hold the media accountable if they refuse to report it.
Lang could have done an interview that served as a basis for his 1969 article. If he did, who was the subject? Kerry's testimony was in 1971......did he use Lang's article for his testimony? Like you, I say a loud hmmmm in the similarity of the language used.
As you can readily tell, I get lost in details that may not be relevant. :)
