This fits the pattern that the NY Times has displayed over the past year (and more).
The NY Times doesnt have any qualms about their actions harming America.

Just remember, in a totalitarian state, you would be toast. It is only because of the freedom we have, bought and paid for in American blood that you can purposefully sabotage your own country.

i gotta say.. lets get with it, guys. the NYT is already there. they opened the door for totalitarianism and went inside. they like that milieu and are currently publishing as they will after the usa falls.
