I had already donated $100 to them.
Then husband saw their ad and said
give 'em another $100, and of course
I did!
BobJ had a thread going just for that purpose.
Hey there! What's going on?
Dear SwiftBoat Vets:
We do so admire your courage and resolve in setting John Kerrys military record straight. My husband John, who rarely gets emotional, watched your ad and read the Drudge excerpts and immediately barked out an order to me: get out the checkbook and send these guys 100 bucks. Right. Now. Usually I dont respond well to orders, but since I wholeheartedly agreed with him, I immediately and enthusiastically complied.
We are counting on you guys to stay the course. We know the daggers are coming out. Its unjust and disgusting that you have to take the abuse, but there it is. I heard one of you say something to the effect: We decided our country was calling us to serve a second time... and indeed that is the case. For none of us out here in flyover country has the standing or personal experience with the loathsome John Kerry to take him on toe to toe. He must be stopped, as every rational person can see. I think in these times, he is a more dangerous man than Bill Clinton. He lies more frequently -- though less expertly -- than Clinton. His lust for power is boundless and truly frightening. He was an empty suit in the Senate for decades, and now he dares to trade on a Hollywood version of his military service over 30 years ago. The few perceptible views Kerry holds seem to involve France and the U.N., two of the most corrupt, most anti-American and anti-Israeli bodies on the planet today. I guess its hard to break the old habit of consorting with the enemy.
All we, and you, can do is stick to the truth, tighten our seatbelts, and pray that God will open the eyes of the blind and keep our great nation safe... for a little while longer. The hard part is imagining the what if... the election doesnt go our way. I do not have any helpful tips for that event. So the best course is to avoid catastrophe and WIN, DAMMIT!
We thank you again for your tremendous efforts, and your sacrifice -- then and now. We support you all the way and well continue doing everything we can to spread the word. May God bless you all and keep you strong and safe through this storm.
