...One night long ago he went on till dawn regaling another FReeper and I with story after story of his glory days in Venice Ca, fending off mobs of gang bangers with his trusty front loader. Flint & steel won the day, needless to say.

I remember that but he wrote, Front-end-loader which made sense since he was working for one of the landscapers in the area...which of course led to his more recent employment as a pool boy.

That's the way I think I remember it anyway.
