He did, however, explain the importance of the United Nations as an institution created to foster peace. He faulted President George W. Bush for taking the U.N. route in the first place by renewing the weapons inspection mandate last fall. He added that while it would be lawful according to U.N. resolutions for the United States to defend itself if it recognized a threat, it was wrong for the United States to attack on the basis that Iraq was not following U.N. resolutions. Keyes argued that a preemptive strike is not necessarily wrong, "so long as it is in the context of a defensive war."

This passage (one of the few quotes in this student newspaper), along with the quotes posted on this thread and duly ignored by you, suggest that Keyes agrees with the war but does not agree with the stated justification for it.

Completely different than your original assertion that, "Obviously, in Alan Keyes mid, Bush made a mistake (erred) by going into Iraq."

YOu're back on that?

Go back and visit my previous post.

But let's get back to Keyes' hypocrisy in running for a Senate seat in Illinois after criticizing Hillary for doing it in New York, shall we?
