"What Keyes said about Hillary is not relevant in this race."

Really?

Two days ago, I couldn't find one single item on Google confirming Keyes' statemt about Hillary, today, the quote returned 271 hits.

It may not mean anything to you, but it's going to mean a whole lot to the voters in Illinois.

As a matter of fact, it already means something to a number of FReepers...from Illinois.

Alan Keyes was personally asked by Republican leadership in Illinois to run against Obama. No one asked Hillary--she basically cherry-picked a state where she would actually be able to win. Keyes didn't come looking for the nomination, but was practically begged by Illinois GOP leaders to run. After Alan Keyes actually looked at Obama's record, challenging him wasn't just a choice, but as he stated, "an obligation."
