Did you ever get the feeling that this whole thing is being orchestrated?

I mean, hell, we've all been concentrating on kerry's VN service and the lies he's told about it...but that's ALL!

OK...so he lied! He knows it; we know it.

Those who are anti-Bush are not bothered in the least about kerry's lies - regardless of topic.

How's about we begin to concentrate on kerry's record as Senator? At least it's in the public record; he can't deny it! He can spin it; he's good at that, but he can't deny it.

The VN stuff, while important, is creating a smoke screen around the issues of his many years in the Senate. There is enough ammunition in those years to sink this idiot below the waves of public conscienceness.

Come on, let's leave the Swifties to their comments and move on. We've got a target rich environment in front of us, and we're all concentrating on how deep to dig the latrine.

Let's start attacking this scumbag where it'll do the most good - his congressional record!

Very true. It's a trap. If these veterans want to do this ad, nothing can stop them but Republicans need to move on. Attacking Kerry's record is the key. How someone could spend 20 years in Congress and be known for absolutely NOTHING is what will resonate with people.

I second the motion.

... But McCain still deserves to get dumped from his primetime speaking spot at the convention. If he backstabs Bush POST-convention, it'll be really ugly (i.e. make people think that Bush's political allies are deserting him).
