On Imus this morning, Tom Brokaw was talking about how when he went to see Fahrenheit 911 and it got to the part where Bush sat there for 7 minutes, he (Brokaw) kept thinking, "You just wanted the guy to stand up and say (GET THIS!):
'Sorry, kids. The President has to go. America is under attack.'
What the??? Yeah, Tom, THAT'S what he should've done! Scare the crap out of a bunch of little kids by telling them "AMERICA IS UNDER ATTACK!"
These people, the so called "Mainstream" media watched this along with the rest of us while it was going on and never once even said it was terrorist until well after the fact!
Same old BS from the the so called "Mainstream"!
Bump
perky bitch katie couric
said it was a small plane that accidently hit the WTC.
My take on the Brokaw comment was a little different. He was commenting on watching "F-9/11" and how the reaction, including his, was to do something. Since people were watching this w/ the benefit of hindsight, that's a pretty reasonable reaction. You're watching a movie where you know the ending so you naturally root for the good guy to act quicker than he actually does. Brokaw's tone was not critical. Also, he was critical of Moore and the film and noted the wrong facts and distortions of the movie.
There are plenty of reasons to be critical of Brokaw, but, IMO, this wasn't one of them.
I listened to the Brokaw-Imus exchange this morning and got the same impression of it as you did.
The Kerry snd JackAzz party have once again flip flopped and started using Bush's handling of 911 as a political issue. This will allow Bush to highlight the same issue to his advantage.
I would like Kerry et al to tell us (1) what FDR did in the first seven minutes after the attack on Pearl Harbor was made known to him, and (2) what the first JFK did after he was told of the failure at the Bay of Pigs.
I've seen your Family Guy pix on about three threads this morning. Where did you get them? We love Family Guy.
I LOVE IT!!! Keep talking Mr. Senator, Mr. Brokaw, Mr. Moore...Kennedy, Clinton, Dean, Gore... The President only had about a 90% approval rating during his reactions to the attack on America! Keep telling the American people the all of their thoughts and feelings were WRONG!!
Keep it up! This'll surely get you to the White House!
MORONS!!!
And then spent the next 7 minutes explaining to the kids that it's not Martians doing the attacking. Right.
I wonder how that felt for Brokaw, that sudden, extend bout of thought. Was it painful, or maybe just a peculiar sensation like a tingling? Was he relieved when it finally ended?
DOH!! You're right. Although on another thread there was a picture of Brian from Family Guy. Did you know there was a survey recently on most-loved robots? R2D2 from Star Wars was first, and Bender came in second.
So, now we see the latest Democrat "Action Item":
"Seven minutes of indecision..."
From sixteen words, to seven minutes.
How soon before they reach Zero?
You left out the part where Kerry claimed he was hit by shrapnel from the Pentagon attack, and demanded a Purple Heart and redeployment to Martha's Vineyard for the duration.
Futurama here: http://www.gotfuturama.com/
BTW I've given up any hope of Ann Coulter asking me out for a date. So I have set my cap for a gal I have a real shot with:
Gad! I get lost in her eye...
Aside from the basic logistics of getting the President out of there, there were live cameras covering the event. The President needed to project an image of calm and control. I haven't examined the timeline of the President at the school versus the timeline for the two planes into the WTC and one into the Pentagon. It might be useful to do that.
The WTC was attacked in 1993. What did Clinton do? He didn't even visit the site. Another non-issue manufactured by the Dems.
Tom wants to yell fire in a theater.
So that he could spend an extra 7 minutes being flown around on AF 1 in an attempt to protect the Commander in Chief during several hours of chaos.
The shallowness and idiocy of these people on the left is breathtaking.
