We purchased with our blood and service the right to be heard, to set the record straight about our unit, and to tell the truth about John Kerry's military service record.

Amen.

Well stated.

Part of the issue is that McCain wants his face in the news.

Senator McCain did not like Kerry until 1991 -- when he finally mended fences with him.

I don't get it.

Didn't the Kerry campaign ask us to talk to these guys?

I could have sworn I saw an ad with John Edwards asking us to to just that...

Can anyone tell me if the Swift Boat Vets ad has seen the light of day on the big three or CNN? It seems the controversy should make the ad news and maybe it'll get a little free play out of that. I won't be surprised, though, if none of this ever gets mentioned on the evening news.

I'd like to see the Swiftboat Vets dig up some old McCain quotes for their next ad, that would be another big bang in Lurch's face, it might humble the maverick from AZ too.

Several folks on an earlier thread about this said there were two mentions - a 30 second and 45 second blip on ABC. I didn't see them. But sure hope it's true. If it ran there, I'm guessing it will get a 'little' exposure on all three mainstream networks, wouldn't ya think?

Haven't been watching the news but it is in the AOL headlines as:

McCain Condemns Anti-Kerry Ad
Republican Senator Calls Attack 'Dishonest and Dishonorable'

And the ad can be viewed from there.
In their poll, 60% agrees with McCain's view vs 40% who don't.

One of these vets called up Sean Hannity and asked, "Why did John McCain denounce the advertisement without even asking whether it was true or not?" Good question. McCain is stirring up the poop again.

Given the choice of these veterans and John Kerry, which should we believe?

Since the media whores love the money, I'm sure they will accept the advertising dollars.

One question to McPain:

How do you know it's not true?
