36 pages?
The Kerry campaign sure saw this ad coming for quite a while if they had long enough to prepare a 36-page rebuttal.

Kerry's known the truth for decades. He's had plenty of time tio prepare for being called on it.

Kerry needed a Band Of Lawyers to draft a 36 page threat.

No doubt. They surely knew about the forthcoming book, f'rinstance. Their response team probably used the same materials to craft this.

It is signal that they use a lawyer's approach. Not very statesmanlike now is it. I am beginning to see why Bush kept his mouth shut about Moore, Soros, et al.
Who knows, it may work for them but to me the response shows a lack of fortitude. Maybe it does not matter anymore.

I really think John Kerry's statement on Bush's reaction to 9/11 was more for cover and shock value. Kerry wanted to be on the frontpage, he did not want the Swift Boat group to be there.
It will be interesting to see how all of this plays out.

The Kerry campaign sure saw this ad coming for quite a while if they had long enough to prepare a 36-page rebuttal. It's not like the "Swift Vets for Truth" made any secret of their organization. Also, given its makeup, how hard would it be for Kerry to drop a single mole into their organization, to sabotage it (by inventing false charges against him) and to gather intel about what they would claim against Kerry and any weaknesses in those claims? If Kerry couldn't accomplish that much, I don't think he'd be capable of running our armed forces and intelligence services.
