I have WMP 8.0 installed; not planning to go further than that - have heard enough reports about the built-in DRM "phone home" stuff in 9.x versions to want to avoid it. At least until there are compatible 3rd-party players or hacks to fix WMP.

I have Real and Winamp players as well, for audio files that require them.

I don't understand why people don't stick to hassle-free MPG files, even if they're a bit larger. A dual-format link, at least, so we can avoid WMP 9 files.

Thanks.

I'm rendering an MPEG1 video file now. It's taking longer and may not fit on my free webspace. If it doesn't I could mail it to ya.

I've had no problems with WMP9. No evidence of Spyware (or maybe my Spybot got rid of it).
Maybe the paranoids are out to get you!
Real is the worst offender of all the media players, I use it as little as possible.

Got a thunderstorm coming, I may have to shut down!

Run Zone Alarm and don't let it phone home. IfranView is free and it will play .wmv files.
